  Practice Group Facilitators -- Peer Support Telecircle

First and third Tuesdays of the month, 9-10:30 ET

  Led by Jan Blum
  Leader style: Because this is a peer-facilitated call, my role in the group is to fuction as a background facilitator, doing such things as receiving membership requests, greeting new members, sending call updates that include the topic for the call, moderating the yahoo group, and facilitating changes or meeting requests for support.
  Our call duration is an hour and a half.

* Segment 1 -- Check in (10 min)

* Segment 2 -- Topic (60 min)

* Segment 3 -- Topic Soup (10 min)

* Segment 4 -- Check out (10 min)

Topic Soup is where we suggest topics for future calls, these usually include topics for which we want support and learning.

Class Description:

Because each segment is facilitated by a different person, we have the benefit of experiencing many different facilitation styles because each week there are four different facilitators for the call. This gives us each an opportunity to participate frequently, and also to learn from each other.

Sample topics:

* The role of the facilitator (teacher, referee, ??)

* Various styles of facilitation

* Responding to conflicts in the group

* Transparency of facilitation Needs - how to get them met
